Recently, there are several videos circulated by every Tom, Dick and Harry regarding facilities and care in government hospital of Delhi. They distorted the image of hospitals and their employees who working incessantly for the welfare patients admitted in their respective wards. Social media ignited this issue and framed all healthcare warriors. These warriors who were titled “real heroes” a few days back, turned into real villains of mankind. They became the prime culprit of everything happened to the patient while staying in the hospital. Let us not forget that in such emergencies, public healthcare institutions and workers were the first to come to the rescue. It’s a duty of hours and we will do our best. This article to appeal community to take up responsibilities, work, experiences and then can decide your comments.
Reporting from Ground Zero
However, another scenario depicts a different story and pictures of patients admitted to the hospital. The Nurses are always admired to work with “minimum resources and maximum output”. Thus, they started helping patients in fighting with their fears and loneliness. Still, nurses are overburdened due to the lack of policies and decisions related to their basic needs and continuously changing orders.
The supporting staff of the hospital is thriving for their survival and unable to concentrate on their prime job responsibilities. One of the reasons could be, the majority of them are on contract basis and they are not ready to risk their lives. again, the entire load is on Nurses. Even, the doctors are also dependent on nurses to accomplish their tasks.
Hence, the nurses are standing still, even after many risks like staying away from their family since their COVID-19 duties, continuous duties in with a short-break in COVID-19 wards, becoming mentally weak, immunity issues, multiple diseases, becoming positive due to posting in COVID-19 wards and ICUs, holding the lamp of patriotism and humanity.
Appeal to society
Therefore, I appeal every citizen of the country, especially; those come from the elite group and react immediately after watching such videos and start abusing all healthcare workers, please come forward and help us in the care of the patients. You do not require any medical or nursing skill to become a delegate. The help would be the same as you do at your home while caring for your elders and children- appreciation and support. Let us make sure you will provide all safety kits and equipment during your stay in hospital wards like PPE kit. The social work or help includes–
- in written work and maintaining the data on a daily basis in wards.
- small walk with the patient
- assist the patient to eat or feed them if they are unable to do it by themselves.
- assist them to go to the washroom.
- combing, bathing and changing their clothes are the basic needs required on a daily basis, which can be performed easily.
- consoling them, talking with them can relieve their fear, depression and loneliness.
- you can play the role of the bridge between patients and their family, convey better communication for them.
- help to arrange food and accommodation for the healthcare staff who completes his or her duties or become positive due to Corona.
It is requested to all actors, jokers, activists, media person, politicians to come forward and be a “front-line warrior”.
A request from a COVID warrior.

Become a voice of front line corona warrior
{All haleth care worker’s
Really Amit sir, it’s such a great article because it covers all of our problems facing during our duties. We are serving patients as much we can, but some people reacts very easy and very soon after the negative media coverage…
We choose this profession because we want to serve people, we give all our attention to the prior basis.
Although all work responsibilities are not for a nurse but we have to do all we see because we can’t avoid any patient who’s facing any problems. Then we not see the work profile of a nurse, at that time we become a Mother, a Friend, a doctor, an Actor or kbhi kbhi to ek sweeper because we can’t compromise with patients condition.
But such these negative thoughts irritating us… So the responsible persons have to understand such these conditions and think it again and again….🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Excellent write up..thank you for being our voice..nurses are an example of bravery and endurance dedicating our hours in the hospital to save lives .god bless everybody for doing difficult job everyday…keep going….
This is excellent innovative approach of thinking which is really needed in this pandemic conditions initiated by you is really appreciable. It is correct that actions require from all sections to encourage and appreciate healthcare workers and abundance of help is outmost important. I request everyone to come together and atleast contribute on their own level so that responsibilities of handling can be divided among all rather than blaming healthcare workers.
Yeah
You r right boss
Social media is being wrongly used against Health care personals now-a-days.
Everyone barking unnecessarily without knowing facts.
Nurses are the back bone of the hospital
Well said….
Commenting on frontline warriors (Nurses)) who care the patient directly and helping out in solving patient problem is devasting for patient health as if nurse would be demotivated for their work will directly effect on patient health.. ..therefore , it is gud initiative taken by u sir..will surely help out our fratenity …..our nurses
Are facing many problems physically ,psychologically and socially ……they really need voice which is to be listened by higher authorities and journalism who is writing n showing anything
And judgemental their own conditions.
Best wishes .stay healthy.
Right Amit ji. Nurses are backbone of healthcare sector. They work from heart using power of brain. all the actions of nurses during patient care are based on scientific knowledge and art of love, empathy and caring.
You are doing a good job for betterment of community
Very well Said Sir……Every one Blame on Nurse, they don’t know that how much work we done.
Nobody come to check the pt. even though never physical examination, auscultation……only Rx review on counter and went away……
Same the Govt cont increase the bed capacity but who will do work on bed…..So should increase immediately Manpower without Manpower nothing is possible…….
Nursing staff who is working last 4 month cont, adequate facilities should be provide.
Same as Special allowance should be provide……
Thanks
Very well said sir….this is today’s reality that we are working selflessly to serve our country and what we are getting is blame rather than appreciation…this is not an hour of blaming , let’s join hands to serve our country well and fight this pandemic🙏🙏
Great thoughts Amit Ji you are right Nurses are backbone of Healthcare system and they work from heart with use of brain. Their working is based on scientific knowledge, skill and art of caring .
Well said sir…. Thanks for being voice of all frontline warriors…. People don’t know the whole reality… They only come to know what they are being shown in a short video… How can a person know the situation of the whole day in just 5 min video…. Human nature ALL THE PEOPLE WANT CHANGE BUT NOBODY WANTS TO LEAD OR BE THE FIRST TO CHANGE……easy to comment on others but it’s very difficult to go through the whole scenario
Well said Sir . .. It’s easy for everyone to comment on others without knowing the ground reality.
Well said… seriously….👍
Well said Amit G…. Everyone knows that Nurses r the ❤heart of healthcare. . Thanks for intracting with reality of the situation. . . Gud job👍
Amit.. Reality and nurses voice pened down by u is
great. .. And who else can better do… Thanx for being our voice. During dis pandemic v r considered warriors.. But it’s pity dt as days r passing v r loosing tags… But surely ur words give us strength… To continue our fight as warriors immaterial wt media. .or . Authority. Present us. 😇
Fully justified n very well written in todays scenario ..we r working so hard ,even as single parent leaving my both sons alone at home but after all these hard core duties no one think about us ..nobody think ,its almost four months finished of covid 19 , thousands patients had been discharged n send their homes in very well condition but ..this so called media just for TRP made such videos ,they should come up n work wd us they will get it more TRP 😠😠😠😠😠😠😠
Necessary thought n message to share in this hour of need when we HCW’s are blamed by society for not maintaining sanctity of our work .
I totally agree with you! Being in hospital 24x7amd being held responsible of the things whether it’s about cleanliness or about not working of a machine or even about why the A.C. were not working, NURSES are always been held responsible…and still they say what does nurses do? ..can you run a health care facility without nurses?
I told all my non medico non nursing friend’s who had in their status that they are “BORED AT HOME” to come and join us ..we are already short of staff as many are falling sick due to catching up the virus..some says yes ..and some just show sympathy towards us..
We don’t need your sympathy or awards or tittles of being as “, WARRIORS” ,just let us do what we are doing for past many many years..”help the patient, and helping in saving his life”!
It’s really very great to seen this article , really boss u covers all things that v health care specially nurses facing on daily basis in our departments ,👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻Superb
Well said sir…. it is true that we work day and night to serve the country and media is blaming us for our selfless services without knowing the reality….so instead of blaming us, support us to fight with this pandemic cuz it’s nt an hour of blaming.. it’s time to join our hands and serve the country together 🙏🙏
Very nice sir … .I m grateful that we r having such a strong voice who speak for nurse’s right and their image in our society . # a real hero # a covid warrior . I appreciate ur effort to write and publish this . …
Thnks for being vocal for the reality n making these problems voice of all medical professionals………..
Very nice sir. .. .i m grateful that we r having such a strong voice who speak for nurse’s welfare and their image in society # a real hero # a covid warrior .. I appreciate your effort to write and publish this . . ..
Selfless services provided by nurses and midwives contributed to impressive recovery rate in India. Stress, loneliness, fear for family and children, acquiring COVID-19,transport problems are common problems they are facing. It’s not a easy job and people who are just sitting at their home with popcorn in their hands and watching tv have no right to comment on their service. Media paying money to people who are intentionally making videos of hospital to put us down. Yes I do agree come out of your home and help us, contribute in your own way, wear PPE kit for an hour’s in the month of June without AC, risk your own family. OR I suggest call your ideals your heroes bollywood stars who have millions of fan following. It’s high time understand your responsibilities and appreciate those who are risking their life. GATES ARE OPEN FOR ALL……
Excellent sir
Amit sir
Thanks for your good efforts you made and shown the other picture of other side too.
Its easy to find out mistake in any work but its tough to be in on the same field for the same work in which some one is finding mistake.
Thanks to be a voice of the Multitude of God’s helping hands to patients we Nursing Officers.
Let other see and support Nurses.
Thanks for interacting with reality of the situation.
Amit,
It feels great to see our your nurses being able to voice their concerns and thoughts and glad to have a platform to publish.
Such blunt expressions will certainly aid towards shaping the new face of Nursing in India.
If we talk of COVID-19, nurses are doing their bit. Its time for the society and our able colleagues to recognize the capability and contributions on nurses.
Keep making the difference,
Stay blessed and happy.
Very nice sir … I am grateful that we have such a strong voice who speak for nurse’s welfare and their image in society by presenting the real scenario we all face in hospitals… #a real hero # a covid warrior
Very good sir
