“STUDENT NURSE– CLINICAL NURSE –NURSE EDUCATOR” – A JOURNEY OF MY NURSING MILE STONES

I am very proud to be a Registered Nurse and Midwife. It has been seven years of life in Nursing, I never forget the days we spent with patients, during our student period as well as clinical working area. It’s not easy to work with the patient, especially with the critically ill patients. Each day is risk, we never loss our hope on a patient till last second, we try our best. Finally the patient & family blessings are more than enough for us, which values millions of rupees.

Nurses are providing services to the World, where no other profession will have such a blessed opportunity. We never forget the crisis we experience in caring road traffic accident patients, neonates with less than 1000 gms, acute heart attack patients, many… and many for providing highest quality care to retain their life, can’t explain in a single line. Instead of our picnics; normal deliveries, newborn crying, early recovery of a patient, early patient discharge, etc., were our Wonderla’s.

God’s grace had an opportunity to be a teacher for the future teachers of excel nurses, where it’s a task & challenge at all levels (teaching and clinical) to adjust with this technical World. A mother is needed for child to spoon feed, at the same time a Nurse Educator is essential at foundation level to correct and improve professional nursing skills among nursing students for their future practice. At academia Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi has formulated the best curriculum for the highest patient quality care to learn at student level. My opinion about learning and education, it has no end, still being a teacher we are also the learners where the new experiences will make us to learn the current scenarios with this technical generation.

Since COVID-19 is risk for life, still we, our nurses not left the hospitals because our profession motivated us to serve the needy. The blessings are our back bone, service is our energy. I pray God to give good health and wealth to fight against to COVID – 19 to all nurses in and around the world, and motivation to provide best quality nursing services.

This year we are celebrating bicentenary birth celebrations of Florence Nightingale who is known as LADY WITH THE LAMP. World Health Organization announced, the year 2020 as INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF THE NURSE AND MIDWIFE, with the theme of “Nurses: A Voice to Lead – Nursing the World to Health”. HAPPY NURSES DAY, WEEK, MONTH AND YEAR. PROUD TO BE A PAEDIATRIC NURSE.

My special thanks to my parents for the life, Special thanks to my beloved faculty, friends and clinical nurses and colleagues of nursing fraternity for making me bold and what I am today. Heart full thanks to IAPH for the opportunity to talk such and also for the platform.
