Health is wealth, we all know that.
But who takes this seriously.
We (health workers) are still so involved in the care of others so much that we even forget that we are also in need of care at these hard going time. In this pandemic situation where nothing is predictable so there is a need care ourself physically, emotionally and mentally as well as spiritual.
No one is going to do it for you, it’s your responsibility to take care of your body and self.
Based on my practice and experiences, I would like you to suggest some points which if you include in your life, it will help you 🙌🏼
💚 Make a list of things you love most about yourself 😉 always remember you are beautiful and you are loved to ❤️ generate some self-love
💚 Try to have healthy snacks, work on your nutrition, exercise a little, don’t get rude with your body 🤔 you may try some yoga. Take deep breaths🧘‍♀️🧘‍♂️ to meditate if not more at least 3-4 deep breath when you are distress.
💚If you feel stressed talk about it and if you need a therapy go for one🤗🙌🏼
💚 Treat yourself like someone you love🥰
💚 Take care of your skin, wearing PPE is torture on skin mainly for people who have sensitive skin: remember to drink a good amount of water.
💚 Listen to your favourite songs 🎧👨‍🎤, dance if u like, paint or anything which makes you happy and doesn’t harm others☝️

Following paintings are by Philomena Reggie, Clinical Nurse, AIIMS New Delhi

💚 Keep your faith that all is going to be well soon.
💚 Grow some plants if you like🌿
💚 Show the pets that you love them and they will return it to u unconditionally. Don’t forget to feed someone in need may be a human or an animal.
💚 Now show some love to all others out there who are in need.
🕊️keep some water for birds at open spaces 🕊️
In the midst of this pandemic, it’s important to put more energy into self-care to reduce stress and anxiety. Use some of these ideas or don’t but find ways to slow down. find activities that make you feel good and do these. I hope you all found this post helpful, take care of yourself.
I think this can help you to love your job more than now you do.

NOTE: If you have followed any such strategies please share with us here on blog and let others also be motivated.

So beautifully written…👌 especially the concept of Self-Love. The day one start loving self, actually start knowing the worth of his/her living. Its like accepting self the way one is. It begins with self-love and soon one start loving everything around.

Thank you for the very useful tips you suggested dear Sheetal. Indeed, we need to take care of ourselves too, lest we end up getting caught in the vicious circle of sadness.
Thank you for putting up my paintings here Santosh sir & Sheetal. This is how I choose to spend my free time.
