It is with deep sorrow we share the passing away of Binu, due to further health complications after being infected with dengue.

Binu hails from Kollam District, Kerala. She was born to Mrs. and Mr. Thomas Fernandez on 21st March 1995. She studied nursing at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College. She has an elder sister Anu, a brother-in-law, and a nephew.

She moved to Delhi after getting a job at Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi. She was serving as the Jesus Youth Delhi Nurses Ministry Coordinator and was highly active in the ministry. Due to her unwavering closeness to God, she endeavoured to visit Jesus regularly in Eucharistic Adoration at the Jesus Youth house cherishing her time with our Lord.

She was committed to her mission, surrendered all difficulties to the Lord and moved ahead with courage. She made every attempt to organize the nurse’s prayer meeting. She is fondly remembered by everyone as a cheerful person, a good listener and someone who brought everyone together. When difficulties arose, she used to say “Eesho ellam set aakum” (Jesus will fix everything). It was purely her trust in Jesus that kept her going.

She was extremely close to her friends and co-workers, loved going out, and always displayed a genuine concern for the well-being of everyone.

As she leaves us to return to Our Father’s house, let us continue praying for her soul, her family, and her near and dear ones. May our loving Lord grant her Eternal Rest and give strength to her loved ones in this time of grief.
