At the time of crisis, where there are shortages of nurses, nursing students have been called for the duty, a noble cause, and also witnessed that without adequate protection.
Nursing students are always at forefront in services, giving care in supervision of senior nurses is all welcome step
We have seen masters nursing students and final year of students to be posted in Covid areas too and many official notification came from the Universities
And at the same time, students should be compensated for their work and should be paid. Not even a single media, nor a professional body to my knowledge has not put this demand for the welfare of student nurses.
It is the time to think of student welfare, and to think of stipend issues too for students post covid.
Many private colleges collect fees and ask students work in their hospital but inadequate compensation or no compensation being given to student nurses.
All professional organizations and government should come together and help for the stipend of students in private as well as government colleges. It will motivate the students and also fulfill the basic needs of buying equipment like a stethoscope, portable pulse oximeter, etc!!
a collection of articles published in newspaper for reference
The Student Nurses should be rightfully paid👍🏼.
Why not induct Final year Nursing Students early into the service? Give them temporary registrations and appoint them as full time Nurses, this will also insure they are paid for their services.
Some university are offering work and get pay in part time.

Earn while learn helps students alot
Definitely, it’s a big issue, to be addresed on priority basis. Our students are serving and sharing responsibilities toward patient care Without financial and personal security.
Congratulations Mr. Mallikarjun for raising this issue.
