Nurses begging in front of Savai Mansingh Hospital, Jaipur to raise their salary issue. Their salaries are INR 6000/- (USD 80/-) per month. In 2016, the supreme court of India has directed Centre and states to provide the basic salary of INR 20000/- but none of the states is ready to implement.
Nurses appeal to increase their salary instead of spending money on celebration and news media. They question the government to “Stop the media hype of appreciating nurses in public and not paying them basic salary ”
This is the reality of all those nurses who are working on Contractual system within the public health system and all those who are working in private health institutions.
Hope propagators of the Nursing profession come in action to provide basic minimum salary and save their family.
