Everyone is appreciating the nurse’s skills and contribution to combating the current pandemic situation but the state approach to their recruitment is questionable to build a sustainable health system.

In government hospitals, nurses should be recruited on the regular basis. they can use the existing merit list to recruit nurses and private hospitals should pay minimum basic salary.

We can follow health care system of developed countries. There is clear cut job responsibilities of all health care workers including doctors. Doctors are team leaders there, nicely working in collaboration with their team. Nurse are at their proper role.

But in India the health care system is under sole supervision. No team feeling, bosses and subordinates culture.
Despite of real front line fighters , nurses are still unsung heroes. They are not given proper place yet. While proper supportive care with standard treatment regimen is the key concept to win corona fight in many cases.
