IWD is to celebrate women’s achievements, raise awareness about discrimination and take action to drive gender parity. The health care service system is predominantly physician-centred and male-dominated. Nurses comprise over 60% of any human health resource in any health system. Nurses are limited to providing care services. Within nursing professionals, we hardly could see female nurses in different administrative and policy positions.
We volunteer nurses at Innovative Alliance for Public Health. We want to share some successful female nurses in India who achieved administrative and leadership positions. We have planned for a series of “life experiences of successful women”—this video series aims to disseminate the supportive system and challenges they faced during this process.
We appeal to all the nurses to participate in large numbers and interact with successful women.
